Presidents of Mexico and the USA hold Telephone Conversation

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto received a call from US President Donald J. Trump at 1 p.m. today (Sep. 14).

During the conversation, President Trump expressed his condolences and solidarity to Mexico for the damage caused by the earthquake and Hurricane Katia that occurred in our country recently, while President Peña also expressed his solidarity over the damage suffered by the state of Florida because of the passage of Hurricane Irma. 

President Peña also expressed the importance for Mexico of having a permanent solution for the beneficiaries of the DACA program, who are mostly of Mexican origin. President Trump was confident that the US Congress would reach a solution for the young people now covered by this program.
